Our Farmers

We do things differently at ASDA. Unlike most supermarkets we have our very own dedicated group of 550 farmers, called the ASDA Farmer Partners, supplying us with fresh milk for all our stores in Great Britain.

Our milk processor, Arla Foods, helped forge this unique relationship for us a few years ago.

Since then we’ve created a true partnership approach that sees us have a direct relationship with the farmers who supply our milk, and offer them a better deal.

Arla Foods is able to segregate all of the milk that is produced for ASDA so that we know which farms it has come from.

We now collect milk from farms that are even closer to the dairies we use. We estimate by having a dedicated group of farmers that only supply ASDA we have saved approximately five million road miles each year - an overall reduction of 15%
